With Uni Preparations holding me under the water it has been nearly impossible to find the time to write a post, and although currently loosing the will I refuse to let it take me down.
Between College work and training all the planning for the VI Wear fashion show finally paid off as it was an utter hit!
The colleges colour scheme is monochrome, something that puts more off than not, many believing black, white and grey is 'boring' or 'restricting' and allowing it to be the deciding factor of where they further their education. Anyone with fashion in their blood however knows that this is not the case and monochrome can be the most striking of  combinations with the right people at hand with an eye for all things classy. Something we proved last week with 20 daring yet elegant clothing ensemble's ensuring that colour was the last thing on our audience's minds.

So its Halloween and i have been having a terrific time.
I decided to be the Lady GaGa skeleton, and none of this was done with face-paint due to my dislike for it !
It was all make-up fun, Happy Halloween everyone !

Today was so much fun, had a brilliant shoot with the gorgeous Lucy !
So we were a little uncertain in the beginning as my original inspiration was a dark skinned very tropical looking model, however once the make-up was on and the hair was back combed I knew the shoot would be beautiful ! loved it so much and so happy with the results !

Skorts on the mind.

So the skort fever is sweeping the nation and I for one have been infected for sure! The classy way the skort sits just above the hips gives its the look it deserves and I love the way the Zara version above is tailored especially compared to other internet sites I have stumbled upon, honestly this is my next buy and at £25 I cannot wait!

"I've got my feet on the ground, but this collection is up-to-earth, not down-to-earth."
So  I have been totally and utterly taken in by the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2013/14 Ready to wear collection
Plastered with monochrome, an utter favourite with a sepulchral yet seductive look about it, the overall darkness of the collection is really enchanting and leaving many including me Starstruck. As a fan of Chunky Materials and Layering this Collected struck me as perfection but ill let you make your own mind.

Basically i have really good friends who are willing to whack on some facepaint second lesson at college and do some creepy posing for me.
This was loads of fun and i'll be using it in my Art - 'Phobias' and my Photography - 'Aspects of portraiture'
Loving the scary air to the images even before ive edited them.. so excited to get started.

"The camera can be “a little bit cold, a little bit harsh” but its scrutiny reveales the truth".

I haven't posted in a while due to an extremely busy weekend, I will be posting about it shortly as I have much to tell! (I'd be excited if I were you too) but Anyhow I posted a while ago about my photography I had done with Hannah and I finally have the finished product.
My inspiration for this photo-shoot was Diane Arbus.
Diane was an amazing American photographer who photographed "deviant and marginal people (dwarfs, giants, transgender people, nudists, circus performers) or of people whose normality seems ugly or surreal."
She believed that the camera could be cold and harsh but told the truth and was famous for her plain square black and white images.
in this photo shoot I have taken an image by Arbus and interpreted it in my own way, using an older model who I believe was exactly who I needed, I knew I could not pick any person for this photo shoot and Hannah was perfect due to her amazing personality and crazy tendencies.
I am just so happy with the images and the emotion shown in some, but overall it was a good laugh.

So a more personal sneak peak into my life and what I really do in the toilets at college...
Sorry for the lack of class in these images however due to me trying to get a decent picture all day which ended out horrifically, i jumped at the first opportunity i had to take a decent full sized picture.
I am wearing : A net cropped t-shirt : TKmax
A long pencil skirt  : handed down to me by my mother
And a favourite statement piece A velvet style blazer  : again another one of those hand me down beauties.

A little piece of my heart...

14:02 Unknown 0 Comments

As a kind of blog addict I tend to spend hours flicking through countless pages, opening thousands upon thousands of tabs until I can barely even click on them, and save the odd pictures I really feel like I cant leave behind. I am then left with a computer full of images I may never use.
So before ultimately it comes to a task of a massive clean out,  have decided will begin to share my inspirations

I love the simple beauty of all three images, how there is a sense of exposure and nudity but constructed so very tastefully, Loving how the fashion and the grunge seem to blend into one to make a perfect mix and the alternative feel to the set, I will do something with these images one day, I swear

Friendly Felines.

04:15 Unknown 0 Comments

So I have had a closer look at the pictures from yesterday and chosen my favorites, this shoot was particularly interesting as both the cats have been raised ,from cute kittens, in a house so are really used to human company and are super friendly (which didn't help my allergies for sure! But hey-ho.)
I chose the images i believed showed the cats personalities really well. Nymeria the first cat in the images is such a poser but more cautious than Milo ,the second cat, who is overall your average dopey kitten. So the day was worth it in the end despite the sniffing and sneezing :)
